First project back is to design shipping packaging for Mr Porter. my idea was to create a design that would be used again and made out of good strong materials no half measures as this reflects Mr Porter brand. This flat pack box i have created is held together by push studs so it can be put up or took down when it is needed also when folded down it can be stored in the lid.the third image down is the inside to the box in my design this is made out of a material cusioning the inside of the box and on the right hand side inside the lid i have created a pocket to hold the documents folder shown below. I would of really liked to make this box and have the finished product for my own use but due to time and expense i cant. i am pleased with my overall design i feel that it is something that would work well and look very presentable if i could add something to this i think it would be a tissue paper with a print to wrap the items inside the box, i feel that would really finish this idea off.
First is the documents enclosed folder that will sit inside the pocket of the box. this folder can then be reused for keeping documents safe or a folder if they have something to carry in the future. by using a mr porter branded one it is putting the brand out there that little bit more, this is the same for the tag middle left this could be used on a suitcase and they already have there name and address printed in a nice type. i created this tag and ribbon so the packaging box can be tied together with the documents inside safely stored flat inside and the ribbon will tie the box tag attached so the courier still knows a destination, the gift arrives and is perceived as a present making the buyer feel a sense of occasion on opening there parcel.
I have recently been gaining work experience for Agrafica print and design, my first task was the KP Simpson logo, i was sent a very pixelated image that i traced over in illustrator to sharpen up i managed alright and managed to size right and was happy with the outcome, I didn't put anything into the design and used the colour from the already existing logo this was just a tracing exercise. The TMG logo i created for carls other business The Marketing Guru. I made this big and bold as it needs to make as much as an impact as possible, We chose red as the main colour as recently a lot of successful companies and teams use this colour which makes red a successful colour. i sent these to carl and he was happy with them and now awaiting to discuss more work.
